How does liposuction with VASER Lipo work?

The VASER method usually consists of seven separate steps.

Step-by-step guide:

1. The patient is given either a local anaesthetic or a general anaesthetic.
2. The surgeon injects a special tumescent solution that helps to numb the area, reduce bleeding and make it easier to break down the fat cells.
3. Through small incisions, the surgeon inserts ultrasound probes that emit ultrasound energy. This selectively breaks down the fat cells by vibrating at high frequencies
4. The ultrasound energy turns the fat into a liquid or oil-like consistency, while the surrounding tissue largely remains unaffected.
5. The emulsified fat is then gently suctioned out using a cannula.
6. The surgeon shapes the treated area to create smooth, desirable results.
7. After the procedure, compression garments are usually used to reduce swelling and help the skin adapt to the new contours. Thanks to the minimal damage to the tissue, the recovery time with VASER Lipo is shorter than with traditional methods.

Differences from traditional methods

VASER Lipo differs from traditional liposuction in several ways.
